grill delete/blackout

    has anyone sucessfully removed their chrome grille yet? I want to take it out to either paint it black or just keep it off, but I am not sure how it is attatched to the bumper.

    I have removed all of my decals except the grill, and i would like to get rid of that for a nice clean all black look.

    Im kind of scared to remove my grill to paint it, does that thing just pop right out?

    I got a black 08....I wanna take out the chrome piece and paint it as well....I was thinkin black...but thats just tooo much black right there especially with the tinted headlight, soon to come black shoes and taillights....I was thinkin of a dark grey...not sure if I would keep it flat or shiny.....damn these decisions... I wish I had the money for the new evo....eh....I'm still young and jobless.

    chetman7 how did you tint ur headlights? was it window tint or the stuff you get at pepboys?

    its made of the material that they make the clearbra's from. its a thick rubbery film. installation was easy.

    Im curious to know how anyone removed their chrome grille and painted it. I cant stand chrome and would rather tear out the stupid thing instead of having it in there

    Go trade your chrome grills with the DE owners for their stock black ones hahaa if you hate chrome so much. I think it looked better personally.
