Hey. So a little ago I installed my greddy se on my gts. I feel like I may have not done it perfectly and fear something may malfunction. What I really needed is someone who has a se installed to show me how they have it hooked up. Some pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

actually it would be better for you to take pictures for us. Installing an exhaust is probably the easiest MOD in the world i highly doubt you can mess it up that bad.

Also, explain why you think you installed it wrong

Well I used the hanger close to the bumper that of course would be used and attached the muffler to the downpipe. After so the tip was resting against the bumper so I made a quick fix with another hanger and some zip ties to the body. I figure theres got to be a different/better way to do it. Thanks

you must be missing a rubber hanger or have it in the wrong place, those zip ties will break

Im not too sure what I am looking at but in the 2nd pic it appears as if its not closed all the way. That my friend would be an exhaust leak. And that's pretty ghetto looking fix. I love it! LOL Your middle section piping might be upside down or in reverse. I would have to look at my exhaust but which lancer do you drive. The old style or the new style. I assume its the new style but there should be hangers at the end for the muffler and hangers after the downpipe. The middle section can always be put in backwards or could need to be flipped around.

Did you use the existing screws from your OEM exhaust to put the Greddy on? If you did thats the problem because those have compressions springs attached to them and the exhaust wont fit properly. Installing the Greddy is similar to installing the Borla. You need to get new bolts and washers without the springs to install properly. That might explain why you have the gap also it looks like your hangers are in the wrong position. You shouldnt need zip ties those hangers are plenty flexible for you to pull and move the exhaust away from the bumper if its too close. You should have 2 rubber hangers one for the passenger side and one for the drivers side.

Well I just tried with my own bolts and nuts and it seems to be working much better. Its a bit close to the bumper but oh well. Really appreciate the advice, could have gone bad without it. =D
