i went and washed my car today and looked at my hood and side where the chipping is and both are rusting this is a good thing because are cars have a warranty on no rust for 5 years thank god
maybe they will do the whole hood and the sides where chiping so they wont have to keep dealing with me
How would they take care of that?? I noticed one or two small paint chips that might have some rust on it. I had no clue there was a warranty for that stuff? its an 08 so the car is only like 2 years old.
Rust is only covered if it starts underneath of the paint. Read the fine print and you will notice that rust from chips is NOT covered by warranty. If the rust started underneath the paint and was not cause by a chip from the road you should be good. Otherwise they will send you walking.
already tried this with my brothers car like he said paint has to start rusting under. best bet is to take some clear to those paint chips or use a paint pen but if you dont like how paint pens come out use the clear only.
Damn I've got a nice sized rock chip in the front of my hood. Wish I could get that fixed. Maybe tell them I want a whole new Evo hood instead of mine
