i just notice that the gas pedal for the 08+ lancers are electronically controlled...i dont see any cable underneath and its all a bunch of wire...
and im starting to think that theres a bit of delay in response from the time i press on the gas to the time it opens up the throttle...

and i THINK there is no such thing as "the car has more throttle response due to the intake"...i THINK there all the same with the stock intake...

    corrections are welcome....

i dont think the intake will give u better throttle response but that is the job of the crank pulley...

^^ What he said. The stock crank pulley is like around 4 pounds. Think about how much power is lost just to turn that thing much less get power to the wheels.

btw the rrm v2 crank pulley is somewhere around only 1 pound..u can def feel the difference

that being said there will also probably be a quicker throttle response and better toruque

Yes, the Lancer utilizes a "drive by wire" technology that Honda has used for years. No more throttle cable.

thats too bad to think about then...but anyways, so the pulley would make more difference than the intake according to you guys...right?

Depends. If you want more power on the lower end, go for the pulley. The intake usually kicks in closer to the mid/high end. If you have the money, go for both to equal out the entire range.

The pulley will do away with some of the low end hesitation. Not all of it, but its still worth the $100.

On an intake, you have 2 options that have shown gains in different rpm ranges. The RRM SRI has shown better gains in a daily light to light auto cross type of driving. The Injen CAI due to the loooooong tubing (takes longer for the air to flow) has shown better results in the upper rpm spectrum and highway driving.

Honestly, the RRM SRI will benefit the lower rmp hesitation better than the Injen CAI.

There is someone selling an RRM SRI for $35 on EvoM. Or you can buy the Mazda 3 intake off EBay and with a slight modification it will fit/work perfectly.

Deffinetly go with the pulley if you can, I have it, and like what everyone else pretty much already said it doesnt remove all the hesitation, but I can trully say the rpms build quicker than before :) :alien:, well maybe not soo much excitement, lol, but it is better.
