Ok idea! You know where the oem fog lamps are on the 08 Lancers. Ok, Im thinking of making true induction pieces with built in mini fog lamps. I was thinking of making them out of fiberglass and I can do them in carbon fiber as well. Hmmm! what do you peeps think?
Good idea, true induction? for the brakes? it maybe a bit far for a cai, but then again it would work. I did something similar to my 2g eclipse. use the tubing from the dryer exhaust.
Opps...beat you to it. I'm the only 08 I know with custom ram air into the stock air box. And...I didn't even have to scrap my old fogs. You have a good idea my friend, and its worth the time because you can feel it pulls through the upper gears a good bit faster. And it sounds wicked, cause you can remove your sound deadener. If you need some help...I'd really like to share ideas.
i took the stock ram air scoop and broke it in half took the small part that hooks to the box got a piece of 3in tubing fitted it around it and put a small bit of electrical tape around it to seal it, and removed the stock radiator cover and ran the hose strait to the grill and got small black zipties to hold it in the grill, it sounded...different...not sure if it helped or hurt performance but i was thinking about it and even though there was a filter before the air got to the motor i was still paraniod about water/excess dirt ect making it in my motor so i scraped the idea and just took the whole thing tube and all and left the box open, so it somewhat has the same operation as the SRI...and personally i feel it sounds much much better and accelerates much better...but my buttdyno has lied to me before lol so yea just a couple ideas you might want to try...
