Is it possible to install the FASTKey system after not buying it at time of purchase? Sorry forgot to put the year! :) 2009 GTS

I,m sure it can be added, i bet it would cost a ton since it is not really a dealer installed option they advertise although the harness is there under the change cup, and wherever it is in the rear.

Yea the FKS is intergrated into the car itself via the driver's and passanger's door as well as the trunk. You can tell by the button on the trunk rather than the key hole.

I was under the impression that the fast key internals start at the navi unit.

I was able to make a ghetto fastkey.

I don't have the fastkey but I had a viper security/autostart system put in. When they installed the system they needed to junk one of my spare keys to have the chip inside to start the car. The junk key will not start the car, but it will turn the accessories on. I leave the junk key in my ignition all the time which won't start the car, turn my car on with my viper remote. There you have it.....ghetto fast key.

I've only ran into one problem. The viper system has a problem starting the car over sometimes (due to cold weather, low battery...I dunno...I need to look into it). It will turn the car on but it won't turn the car over enough to actually turn it on, so while the viper remote thinks it's on, and the car thinks it on, it's just sitting there with the parking lights on blowing cold air out the heater...lol.
I just keep my other spare inside the glovebox incase my car won't turn over .

Anyways that would be the best and cheapest approach to making a fast key. You've got a security system, mile range auto-start, lock/unlock features, and you don't have to have a key. The remote is about the same size as a fast key. The only feature you wouldn't have it's the auto unlock feature.....but I'm sure you can press a button to lock/unlock your car. Plus it's badass to walk up to your car and it start while you are getting into it. People always look at my shit when I'm walking to my car.
