EVO X wheels would fit my lancer?

    Hi,

I am getting a super deal (free) on three evo x wheels, I would only have to find one which I am already working on. I am pretty sure bolt pattern is the same but I am concerned with width since they are 18x8.5. I am concerned with rubbing. Anybody tried this set up?

Fit yes. But you have to get your fenders rolled a bit. If you are an 08+ the wheel pattern of 5x114.3 is the same. Its a bit aggressive.

Yeah, you'd definitely have to get a fender roll, and they'd still be pretty wide. But, maybe you could pull it off. Get a nice drop and some nice tires and you're straight.

my lancer is already dropped and if they rub well then I will sell them, and get myself some other wheels. We will see

Good luck then. I bet they'll look good, the only issue I can see is them fitting, but shouldn't be too bad.

8.5 is the widest the tires can be. I think the evo x is 8.5. I have to research it a bit more. But they will fit with rolled fenders or wide body kit.

Actually, Evo X wheels can fit without rubbing depending on the tire size. If you go with the Stock X tire specs, 245/40/18, you will need to roll the rears, even at stock height. Some people have pulled off fitting X wheels except with 225's and lowered. Put simply, if you roll your fenders, you can fit the X wheels no problem. It really shouldn't be a deciding factor whether or not you want to keep these wheels--especially since rolling fenders is a simple job for a shop.
