ok i just got my exo x license plate mount today from mistubishiparts.net and no instructions can ne1 on here give me instructions on what to do?
you should be able to take the factory one off if there is even one and mount it using those screws. essentially 1. Remove license plate. 2. Remove factory mount. 3. place aftermarket mount in factory mounts place. 4.reinstall license plate.
No, cuz the Evo X license plate mount she's speaking of isn't just a replacement. It takes the stock placement in the middle of the bumper like most cars, and relocates it off to the driver's side. I think you will have to drill new holes, but I'm not sure. Someone who has this on their 8/9g help her out. I'm not positive on any of this.
What i did was used self tapping screws w/ a washer so I didnt have to drill a BIG ASS hole for those black plugs. Holds amazing! ABSOLUTELY make sure its straight before your start screwing anything in.
yea its for my 09 lancer so plz help me im tired of seeing it in my house i want to see it on my car!
yes. buy some smaller diameter self tapping screws from home depot and find some washers with a smaller hole but larger diameter (make sure they'll fit in the holes on the braket). then all you need is an screwdriver and an extra pair of eyes to make sure its straight.
Interesting...they never do anything for free around here in chicago. Ill have to try that out when I get my mount lol. They'll probably ask for like $20
call first...and if they ask you is you bought the car there and tell them yes...they might check if you did or not....and they should do it for free....that what i did....and they didnt charge me....
The dealership here in Houston charge $20 to mount it or just DIY. First mount the side bracket o to ur bumper then mark it w/ a Sharpbee marker then use a 1/2 inch drill bit. then go to home depot buy 2 self tapping screws w/space washers make sure just buy a short one, so it wont drill another holes on ur bumper. just ask those people who work there to help u find the right screws. i spend 30 mins on that isle just to look for the right screws n washers. if u can bring the side mount bring it so they can see what screws will fit there.
lol me 2 but hey i got it installed my dad helped my and i just stuck with making the 1/2 inch holes in the bumper.
when i worked at a dealership as a detailer, we did it for free all the time, wasnt for lancers, but we still did it none the less haha
