Evo X license plate frame

yea i did. i think you'll be fine, i drilled two tiny holes then just wedged the screws in there.. looks great man go for it. my avatar is how it looks on myne.

 

would double sided tape work? just a suggestion...

 

where did you get the frame from?

 

drilling should go fine... im not talking from experience though seeing as i placed my order for one today , but ima drill it the day i get it hehe

got mine from the dealer for $30...i have to trim mine a little to make fit the bumper, cuz the evo x has a bulkier front than the gts...

 

i think the one from ebay is just a piece of plastic...it looks so much different from the real evo x liscense plate holder...the evo one is design to face straight forward unlike the ebay one which faces a litte more diagonally...get what i mean...

Im lucky just need to have one plate on my car and it stays on the rear. I have the Chrome Lancer plate holder myself.

Vik, Do you have any more photos close up of your install? I have my mitsu evox plate on order so I am trying to get an idea on install before I get it.

the dealer said that it has to be perfect because this plate bracket leaves "two giant holes in the bumper"

ya maybe... but imo, it looks basically the same... as far as the install goes... if it were me and i had to put a front bumper (yay for florida not having to) i'd use a strong double sided tape... wouldn't want holes in the bumper :-\

ya sure i'll tear it apart and take pictures...i'll show how i fitted mine...its true what the dealer said, but i was able to fit mine just perfect...wait after the weekend and ill have it ready

 

i meant it was a little more outward, and unlike the ebay ver. its more diagonally-to-the-side...you now what i mean...kind a hard to explain without visual...

and my plate holder looks exactly the one on the pics you have with a little trim thats all....
