This may sound a bit odd but is there a way to dampen the sound coming from the engine? Personally, when I start my car it sounds really weak and wven those who put the SRI in, it still sounds whiny.

LOL if you think the engine is noisy stock, you do not want an intake of any kind.... it WILL be louder

i think the engine is decently quiet
i havent put my exhaust back since i came from the track and i cant stand it any more

couldn't you line the inside of the hood with some kind of spray on dampener?

I have heard of people Dynamating the entire car including the engine bay to drastically reduce vibration and sound leakage into the passenger compartment. The only problem is that Dynamat is very heavy, so expect to add anywhere between 100 to 200 lbs just for sound insulation if you do the entire car.

^ that's quite a bit of weight. maybe worth it cause my rear desk is already a bit loose. prolly cause of my system...who knows

Thing to keep in mind is I was talking about the entire car. I have heard of people just doing the engine bay/underside of the hood and that has helped a lot but only added around 50 lbs at most if I remember correctly.

it's not gna make the engine bay too hot or nething? or won't fall off? If that's the case then I may do that and to the interior as well
