hey guys... i think i may have a defective audio system.. I bought a 2007 Lancer GTS with the sun and sound package... my problems are: 1) To activate the satellite radio.. it says to push the FM/AM/SAT button until it comes up sat or sirius... and well it never does... It will only cycle through FM 1, FM 1, and AM... makes it hard to find that special number.. 2) When i drive my car its like the signal gets weak.. i don't know if its the reception or not.. but it seems as i drive faster/slow down / even at a steady speed the volume is going up and down.. and not at an even rate.. not very pleasing... any ideas? is it equipped with one of those things that reads your rpms and adjusts volume accordingly?? if so.. it is wayyy to sensitive because it nev er goes louder than i set it.. but it drops randomly in volume throughout all speakers.. another side note.. Has anyone had any issues with some moisture/fog in their headlight housing? both of my headlights get some. not very much mind you but a very little bit in the corners and then some near the corner signal lights... ALSO, when you flip your car to accessory... do you get a clicking noise? it almost sounds like it is when the fuel pump should be kicking in but it clicks about 4-6times and then stop... doesn't sound "bad" just hjave never heard it before.. HELP!:S
1.first i think you bought a 2008 gts not a 2007 2. take it to mitsubishi, if you bought a gts with sound and sun package, sirius radio does come with it, basic audio gts does not 3. there are 2 seperate volumes controls, when you are listening to your music and when you are on a blue tooth, there should not be any decrease of sound just because you drive faster or slower, take it to mitsu. 4. as for the headlights, take it to mitsu, maybe from factory the headlights wore not sealed right, take it to mitsu. 5. clicking noice when you flip on the accessory is normal all 2008+ lancer have that, no worries, for this you do not have to take it to mitsu. ***your car is still under warranty, if you have any i mean any problems take it to mitsu.
This is incorrect... read your manual. The radio volume does go up and down depending on how fast / rmps your are driving.I noticed this myself and it was anoying, I read my manual and found out how to turn it off. This option comes turned on standard from the factory, to turn off.. if I remember right... start your car and turn off the radio, while radio is off , push and hold down the right side knob for a few seconds. The option will come up and you can turn it off. That should take care of the volume raising and lowering on you.
hmmmmm must have been on a sound package, i didnt notice this one a base audio when i still had mine...
I have the base model GTS... no sun/sound or navi, so I kow this option is on that type of car, as for cars with the upgraded stereo or navi , I dont know
