so they other day i was outside changing my oil and i drove around a while after changing my oil. when i got back home i decided to check my tranny fluid level. to my surprise it was really low. i mean when it was hot fluid it wasn't even making it up to the cold level line. so i called all the auto part stores to see if they sale cvt tranny fluid. well no auto part store sales this fluid. the only place you can buy it is from the mitsubishi dealer. i don't know if it has always been low or what, but it sure is low now. for any one that has a cvt tranny i ask you to check it. when checking your fluid drive around your town for a while to get the fluid hot. then when you get back home don't turn off the car. pop the hood and pull out the tranny dip stick and wipe it off then reinsert the dip stick all the way in. then pull it back out and check the fluid level. it should be at the hot fluid line on the dip stick. if not you will need to add more.
only get it changed at the dealer or even adding fluid must be at the dealer.. its really sensitive because it works under massive amounts of pressure due to its design pretty lame if you ask me
well i just got back from the dealer. they told me that it probable wasn't filled up all the way at the factory. so the filled it and all fluids are good.
typical to blame it on the factory , dont we get charged like 500$ extra when we buy the car so the dealership can make sure everything is ok with the car? even if u dont pay the fee didnt they provide you with a checklist of the stuff they tested and make u sign it? thats what they did to me anyways told me i had no choice but to pay because they arent allowed to sell any cars whitout doing the checklist. somebody somwhere isnt doing their job
