CT/Wester MA Meet?

Weekends cool for me, prferably on a Satuday night some time... Nov. 3rd is out for sure, wife invited company over, so thats out.

When you going down to Myrtle Beach, and when you get back?

I'm not sure how many of us are from this area... theres me and you, anyone else?

 

I think we are the only two peeps from CT / MA area on the forums.. maybe some of our nieghbors from New York/New Jersey would like to join in?

 

okay. i live in yonkers, NY (little north of the city). i'm up for a meet on a weekend though.

Lets see if we get any more takers... then once we see whos down, we can find a spot thats about the same driving distance for everyone involved, this way noone has to go super far.

we need more participents !! come-on new york peeps, sign-up for a meet... the boys over in Cali are doing a big ol' BBQ/Meet on the 17th, so lets get one together on the same day to show our support (a mini-meet, so-to-speak)

I know you said to PM you, but I figured I would post here to keep this thread active so others from the New England area will see it and hopefully chime in !

State parks would be cool, there are tons everywhere in CT.. alot in western CT aswell, so peeps from New York wouldnt have to drive for too long... hell theres a state park 5 mins from my house even, lol.

It all depends on what peeps want to do, just meet up and chat... go to a place like Sonics and eat and chat..not sure there are any of thoose in CT though... or, we can meet up at a state park then cruise to find a place to chow down and BS about our cars. There are many different possibilities.

Im not very familar with alot of the state parks on the western side of CT.. but there are two notable ones that stand out and are pretty close in driving times for the people who already chimed in.

From East Haddm, CT= 1hr 50mins

Ive been to Kent falls years ago, and it was pretty nice, but Mohawk Moutain has a overlook that might be nice aswell. Neither one has parking fees so no charge to get in. Let me know what you guys think...

We are still looking for participants to chime in if they want to meet up... and peeps from the west coast.. you guys need to brow-beat more people on the east coast into haveing more meets .. guilt trip em, whatever it takes , lol

Just did a search and the closest Sonic is in PA, lol !!!

The Mohawk Mountian State park is not that far from places like Burger King, McDonalds,SubWay, Quiznos and KFC... so if your looking for a place thats fairly close to food, that might be the ticket.

 

Thats what I was thinking aswell.. theres a parking lot right at the entrance of the Mohawk Forest, we can all meet up there and then cruise to the mountain overlook.. afterwards if peeps want we can cruise back down route 4 and go to a fast food joint and grab some grub.

So right now, Nov 17th (saturday) at Mohawk mountain state park looks like a good time/place.

How bout the guys from Yonkers, does this sound good for you? .. if so we can set a meeting time aswell

So guys/gals I would love to join but I just did mapquest and it's 199 miles from my house... Stinks something going on on the east coast and i can't make it.. :cry:
