For those of you who are looking to add more power to your 4b11...

I used to be a die-hard paintball fan and i bought my own fillstation to fill my smaller co2 cylinders. So it required that i had a 20lb co2 tank with what they call a "dip tube". This tube sucks the liquid co2 from the bottom of the tank. Now i have been out of that recreation for quite sometime now and have been looking for another use for my tank. I came across what they call the CRY02 system. The way this works is much like the nitrouse injection system in a way. However it does not in a sense "inject" anything into the engine. In fact co2 is a very unclean gas for most engines and paintball guns. However the co2 does not enter the engine in any way. In fact, it just cools it down. Hopefully we all know that colder air is more dense and provides better power for your engine. DEI designed this to be universal for all vehicles. There are many different uses for this kit. You can have it do a simple purge from the sides(looks sweet!!!), have it sprayed on a intercooler to help keep the turbos even cooler, or to cool down the air flowing through the intake. You must purchase their intake coupler which has the harness for the co2 to be connected...the air can be reduced by more than 50 degrees.

If you think this is something you need to take to a performance shop to have installed-your wrong. This is a cheap and easy way to increase power by a reliable company. Complete DIY installations done on a SRT4 below

Please not that i have not bought this yet but plan to buy it in the near future...just like to share my findings with people of common interests....the Lancer!!!!

    Great info

I am not sure about using CO2 instead of NO2. What is cooling down the engine when more air is being sucked into the ports or more O2 is burning up to give you that quick boost? I am sure the figured it but engine temps would be some concern here. Thats what N-nitrogen in NO2 is used for, to cool the engine when O2 (air) and fuel is being burned quickly. Thats my $.02 but correct me if I am wrong.

the way i understand Nitrous oxide(by the way i find it funny that its the same stuff that they use as "laughing gas") actually breaks down into oxygen within the engine which creates a better combustion although it does cool down the combustion as well.

I paint balled for about 5 years. Right off the bat I can say nitrous is alot cleaner and consistent.

not too surehow it relates to a car...but on a paintball gun..it gives less fluctuations in velocity

/\ this will be an ongoing debate, NO2 vs CO2. I did forget about the "cooling" part of the combustion. I know CO2 being used is somewhat new, maybe using old technology is still around and something new and different will bring up some questions. But maybe seeing it in live could make believers out of all of us.

actually what you are referring to is nitrogren gas which is more commonly used in paintball. It is cleaner and your right it does give you a more consistant velocity within the gun itself but lets not go OT...this is not a injection system...similar in that it uses a gas to increase power...but different in that it does not actually inject any gas into the engine while nitrous oxide does

This site describes how N2O works so if you can take what i said and what this says then maybe you can do a compare and contrast here. I'm not knocking on N2O in any way...just stating the simple fact that there are alternatives to some modifications.
