Hey guys...has anyone done the chrome outline WITHOUT blacking out the grille? I was curious how it might look, because I was thinking of doing it that way to be a little different.

Let me know what you think!

Hey...everyone who's done the blackout on the front and the chrome outline...what size chrome did you buy? I bought the 3/4"...I'm thinking it's a little small...????

    Any feedback would be GREAT!

    Mine's 1/4'' ... I thought the 3/4'' was too big... LOL

I'd go either 1/4" or 1/2" at biggest. The 3/4" just looks too big. You might be able to keep your bumper the same color but the chrome around the top grille HAS to be blacked out otherwise you get a double chrome line and it looks really strange. I'd black out your bumper anyway lol. No point in not doing it.

I'm really new to all this car stuff and modifying, that being said I just did my first mods to the body by myself which is blacking out the grille as well as adding the chrome trim. I seriously thought of not blacking it out and just doing the trim. It looks nice having that 'double chrome' look but then again too much for me to handle. All on preference though, you should put the chrome around without really 'putting it on' just to see how it would mock up. On a side note I have the wicked white lancer gts which i just bought this past may.

Mine came from Canadian Tire (car/department store here in Canada) and it's peel and stick.

Yeah I've seen it at Advanced, AutoZone, and O'Reily's so pretty much anywhere. One thing I have heard though is to leave it out in the sun for a while so it's easier to bend around the corners.
