car wash brushes and my ride

    well i went to the car wash bout a week ago,used the brushes they have on my car,bad idea few days later i see some major scratches all ove my car :evil: .so as of now im using Meguirs scratch and swirl remover,and my buffer.the mirrors got it the hardest,heres some pics.just imagine the mirrors being the WHOLE CAR :cry:

    that sucks man...i found that out the hard way as well. ever since then i hand wash my car.

    if you do use the car wash, spray the brush with the pressure hose first. probably those big ass off road trucks and all the dirt they carry with it you know?

    yea,im never gonna use the brush again.im finally done with the buffing,now i gotta wax it :) .its taken me about 2 1/2 hours of labor to do my whole car,shooo....today is the only sunny day i have till this weekend so i gotta go.

    i hope u clayed the car b4 u waxed it , cuz its not good to wax the car with out Clayin it first.

    im waxing it now.i used the meguirs scratch and swirl remover first with the buffer since it was such a big area.

    it was already waxed before i went to that carwash too.

    thats sucks dude thats why i take my car to a hand car wash and pay 65 for a full wax and polish

    thats what i used.i used to buff caskets for a living so it came natural to me.

    yup yup Meguiars is fkn awsome... 3 step process ftw ^_^

    1. Paint Cleaner
    2. Polish
    3. Wax

    trust me when i say... this product does fkn wonders!!! o_O

    used it on my 98 white civic... problem w/ white cars is that stains are a pain to get off... u can wash as hard as u want but it won't come off... when u polish it... i SWEAR the car ends up like brand new, the Paint Cleaner gets rid of all those little scratches and swirls... if you don't know what i mean by swirls... let me shoe u a pic...

    they're not scratches, they're swirls u get over time... u'll see them in the reflection of the sun...

    and then finally the wax to protect it all =)... though of course i said it in the wrong order, it's Paint Cleaner > Polish > Wax

    HELL YEAH! Gotta do that when my girl isn't with me though. My eyes may be diverted...lol...

    Blacksheep: $65? Not all of us have that kinda money to throw into washing a car...rich ass...thanks for reminding me of my broke ass college budget :D

    yea i have a lil bit of those but you could see all the directional strokes i took using the brush it was HORRIBLE.it was like i was wet sanding my car with a brush.
