Hey all. When replacing the front brake pads with new ones, does the '08 Lancer GTS require a brake caliper tool to reset the cylinder/piston back to "zero position" so the new pads will fit? I watched the RRM video and it seems like the guys just used a C clamp or something, but I just wanted to make sure that the stock caliper piston isn't threaded and so requires a special tool.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't think so. I use a big C-clamp on my '04. The only vehicles I have done brakes on that took a tool is the newer mustangs, focus, kia forte...and I think that's all that I have personally done. If it does require a tool anything like the Ford's....be prepared for a lot of swearing and lost time.
