I know this isn't much of a tuner question, but has anybody else had trouble with bluetooth devices that they've paired with their Lancer? I start the car, and sometimes it connects fine and other times the phone icon on the GPS screen blinks on and off until the next time I start the car. I have Blackberry 8700.
i havnt had a problem with mine other than it not sending the signal every now and then but its tollerable
does it act like i described before, where the phone icon goes on for 5 seconds, then off for 5, etc.? When this happens to me it will not reconnect until i restart the car, no matter what.
Happens to me maybe 1 of every 20 times i start my car. maybe someone else on here knows more about it, I called the dealer and they gave me some line, "...the bluetooth connectivity may work intermittently due to variety of phones and wireless interference." yea that cleard it up for me...
thats them pretty much sayin a bunch of big words to sound like they know what there talking about when they dont know shit.
if i have low service wen I start my car...it doesn't connect to bluetooth. so sometimes wen i loose service..it will disconnect then re connect wen there is service available
No, on mine if it initially connects when i first start the car, theres no problem as long as the car is still running. But if it doesn't connect when the car first starts, it wont until the car is started next time. drives me crazy, sometimes i dont realize it hasn't connected until i get a call and it only rings my phone, doesn't cut the music at all.
yup it even happend to me again the day u posted this lol u jynxed me! couldnt get it to connect, gets annoying when you catch it.
that sounds like a hell of a problem ... it doesn't matter what signal your phone has, bluetooth doesn't connect off that. i'v had no service but the phone will still pair with the car. bluetooth is a totaly different thing, its either someting with the phone or something with the car. i haven't had a problem yet.
disconnect if your phone just disconnects, like mine did, was likely because you were switching into a digital/analog area. your reception goes out for a split second, if your on the phone you wouldnt probably notice anything more then a mere blink of dead time but when your connected via bluetooth, as soon as you loose signal, the bluetooth will disengage. check to see if it does it in the same spot next time your on a call in that area.
Well I thought of that too, and thats happened to me before. but when that happens, i can always go back into my phone and tell it to connect again and it will. but what I'm talking about is when I start the car, it doesn't connect, and WON'T connect unless i restart the car. it was pissing me off at first, but strangely enough it hasn't done it at all in 2-3 weeks. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Hey yall. I work in the Best Buy Wireless/MP3 department in my home town. We have recently been getting a lot of these kinds of issues where people come in asking why their car isn't syncing correctly. First thing to try is to make sure that your firmware (the cell phones software) is up to date. Then, delete the "saved connection" in both the cars system as well as in the phone. This "saved connection" can sometimes have an issue if it connects a wrong way for whatever reason be it cell/electrical interference, which is possible so technically the dealer did somewhat tell you the truth, then re-sync the phone to the car's system. This can sometimes fix the connection issues. If that doesn't fix/help the issue, the next step is to check the devices. In this case, because it is the car side that seems to periodically drop the connection, whether it is when you start the car or during normal operation, you should take it by the local dealer and have them check the antenna/bluetooth part of the cars system. It is not uncommon for the antenna/system to have something come loose or have an issue that can be fixed with a little investigation and diagnostic. For those of you who are comfortable with working on the electronics, feel free to pull out the system from the dash and check for the antenna and wiring so that everything is snug and connected to the right things. We get a lot of people where, upon checking the factory connections, someone was sleeping on the job and connected the wrong things to the wrong ports. You would be surprised how many times the manufacturer/dealer screws something up along the way that a simply "plug into the right port" fixes the issue. It also doesn't hurt to have the phone checked at your local carriers cell phone store. The cell phone diagnostic of the bluetooth antenna and system within the firmware of the phone usually takes about 1 hour and can generally be fixed in less time if a problem is found. Hope this helps someone. Bill
I have an LG V phone and I have never had a problem. I love how I can be on the phone, start my car and it automatically continues the phone call into the car, and I can be on the phone in the car and turn it off, continuing my phone conversation on the phone....no problems with anything. Its a great system
Turning bluetooth off/on on my phone helps to restore connection. One other thing. Sometimes when I want to call it asks me for a number instead of a contact name. I hang up by holding voice button for a couple of seconds. Then call again it asks for a name I'd love to have a sexy voice in that thing, like "sugar, would you like to call or cream (me)" hahaha.
I cant get mine to work i sit in the car pull the e-brake in park and do all the stuff but no voice comes on or anything
