on my car when i go to lane shift, i hold the blinker on but not so far were it locks into place until u turn or push it down... but at times it will stay blinking when i let it go or it will shut off... when it keeps going i put it all the way up were it clicks and push it back down, but it will keep going, so i start fiddleing with it and it will adventualy go off.. i dont know if everone els has this happen a lot or if it just my car???
sounds like you have an electrical short in the lever...i have never taken one apart, so i couldn't tell you how to fix it. hopefully, someone else will know how...or you could take it to a mitsu dealer
ive had that happen too, thats cause its not a mechanichal lever... i just crank it all the way even if im just switching lane...
There's two settings with our blinkers. If you nudge it a lil bit, it will blink for like 5 seconds, if you click it, it will stay on till you put it back or finish your turn.
if you tap it up with out clicking it it will blink 3 times this is a feature called the "lane change", it will blink its three times and then shut off. if you have the lancer with a NAVI unit you can turn it off in the setting menu, not sure how to do it without a Navi unit. If you click it it will turn on until you un click it.
This is called a highway blinker fed law states that you only need to single for a couple seconds while switching lanes so it makes it a lot easier to keep your eyes on the road.
Oooh the highway blinker haha. I dunno I never use it. I just full blinker everytime Then again I text and drive 130 at the same time too soooooo... who needs to have eyes on the road!! lol
lol, thanks, i never knew that it shut off after a few seconds... i just got frustirated (SP?) and kept messin with it till it went off=p
^^ I did the same thing at first and couldn't figure out WTF was going on till I finally realized what it was doing.
