You will hear al lot of different opinions about HIDs. Some buy them from ebay for like 40.00 bucks and they last long time, some buy them from mobilehid.com and they do the same. Or some buy them from our vendor automoglow. I have had ebay hids for 40.00 and the ballast burned out on me after 3 months, thats just because i had them on constantly. this time around i bought mine from mobilehid.com and i had the DRL rewired to my foglights so they wont stay on even in the day time. So far no problems, its just what you want i guess

Yes this is a difficult choice that only you can decide. I do know that eurodesigns offers some quick kits that are plug and play. Should take like 15 mins to install. They are pricey though. I was quoted $300 for lows and fogs. I think myself personally I will be getting these because of the warranty and someone to talk to unlike some of the ebay dealers.

These other kits are pretty much plug and play, if you decide not to rewire the DRLs. Rewiring/disactivating the DRLs is pretty much so that the ballast lasts longer becuase they wont be on all the time when your car is on. I have my HID lights wired to my corner lights on the headlights since I dont have fogs. The problem I have with that is that my aftermarket alarm is also wired to that light apparently so everytime I arm or disarm my alarm the hids blink, sort of like eKtors Angel Eyes with his alarm. I havent really tried to rewire them yet, Im trying to see how long they last. But if the company is offering a good warranty so that they would replace the ballasts if they mess up, you can just rewire them and know to expect them to last longer. But I do believe some companies say there ballasts last longer and are oem quality, since some cars like BMW I believe have hids that run all the time as well.
