hey guys I have an 09 GTS does it have ASC? theres not a buttonnext to the steering wheel like the evo is it somewhere else?
amendment to my previous post (cause i re-read what he said and i said again) the evos and ralliarts have the AWC system which as a button next to the steering wheel but all lancers do have ASC but theres no button for it. And to HPM: ASTC (Active Stability & Traction Control System) When driving on slippery road surfaces and the on-board computer makes a determination that proper grip cannot be maintained at any tire due to sudden steering wheel input, braking force at one wheel or multiple wheels is applied and engine output is automatically adjusted, enabling the moment that controls the disrupted vehicle orientation and ensuring vehicle stability. At standing starts on rough roads where the wheels spin and it is difficult to get going, braking is applied to the spinning wheels and engine output is optimally controlled, thereby appropriately distributing power to the four wheels to support standing starts and acceleration. In addition, on declines where any given wheel may be above the driving surface and engine braking effectiveness tapers off, without disruption automatic braking is applied, speed is suppressed, and the engine brake starts working.
ASC = Active Stability Control All lancers comes with ASC for all 2010 models.... prior to that only Rallart and EvoX comes with ASC..!! There is a button left to the steeling wheel labelled ASC... if you have that you have ASC... otherwise you don't have that..!!
Mitsubishi 2010 lancer spec: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/jsp/ ... ?loc=en-us ASC is listed standard under the safety feature for all lnacer models Lancer 2009 Spec: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/jsp/ ... ?loc=en-us - doesn't mention ASC anywhere in the specification. - under safety, it listed that ASC is avaible after June 2008. [2008 models won't have this since the 2009 model lanch in June 08] - comes with Touring Package (only avaible in GTS model)
You serious? Come here to see what is the difference in WINTER between Lancer 08 with ASC and Eclipse 06 without any traction control! Eclipse is like gyroscope on the road! It's better to turn it off when you don't need it, than don't have it.
Well I go to serbia about once a year.. and its right above bulgaria. The seasons there are just about the same as they are here in Chicago xD.
ASC is only on 09 GTS with the touring packing and all 2010+ lancers. the 2008 lancers do not have ASC. These past few weeks Maryland has gotten like 70 inches of snow but with the proper tires you won't loose traction. I'm driving better than my neighbors trucks and jeeps only because I have dedicated winter tires. (michelin winterforce xice xi2). The bottom of my car has seen better days though.
I don't mean to hijack the threat but can somebody tell me what was included in the 2009 touring package?
