Anyone a member of NASA?

As most of you know, I wanted to start doing track days a while back. I an mainly interested in TT road courses...not auto-x (not my thing for some reason). I have been researching NASA (National Auto Sports Association) and SCCA (Sport Car Club of America), and think I have decided on going with NASA. From what I read, SCCA rules say that for road courses you have to have a cage installed in the car. Not what I want. NASA, on the flipside, has a daily driven road couse class of its own. Requirements are simple: seatbelts, helmet, and driving shoes (all of which I have). I was wondering if anyone is or has been a member of either of these groups and could tell me a few more details.
