I just realized my fluids are almost low when I received a check engine soon light. Which ones do you guys use that I can probably pick up at autozone or something? Or did you guys go to Mitsubishi for this? The closest one to me is almost 40 minutes away.. and if you did get it at Mitsubishi, how much?
I'd rather have Mitsubishi than rp considering everything else isn't rp. Well, this engine light soon is pissing me off. I topped off all fluids, checked oil cap, Mitsubishi service dept. is closed today.. I need to leave for San Diego tomorrow... What the hell, anyone know anything or suggestions?
I know this is a basic question, but sometimes overlooked... Last time you got your gas, did you tighten the cap all the way, or did you have a problem tightening it? On my old car, and my wifes new car, if you didnt/dont tighten the cap all the way it would through the check engine light all the time. just throwing it out there, sometimes people over think stuff when it could be something as easy as that...
Yeah, when I said oil cap, that's what I meant. Haha. The gas cap. I over tighten and under tighten and tried every possible combination. I got it figured out for now, hopefully it stays out. How about the engine coolants guys? Do you guys go through Mitsubishi for it?
They will charge you an arm and leg. Go with a known brand from a reputable business and you should be alright.
Check the maf sensor that it is seated all the way...Remove the battery terminal. This will enable the computer to reset since you put on the new f5...If it goes back on go to autozone and tell them you have a cel and they will check it for you. Most likely it will be the "too lean code." Since that will piss you off, you can sell/trade the f5 to kink ...BTW the car on the box from the f5 says "2.4L" thats for the 07 and older, just to let you know.
Yeh, double checked everything. I just hope it doesn't turn on tomorrow. The 2.4 is a typo as most companies are putting 2.4 for whatever reason, I don't know.
