another '08 down and out for the count

    some of u may know that i was recently in an accident, from my introductry post in the new here section. well i just found out that my insurance company in considering my car a total loss. so hopfully i get enough money from it to get another lancer.

    trust me they should they paid mine off and i had gap insurance

    14 but mine was a DE and i got it for 15 and gap payed the rest and helped me get a new one :D

    i cant quite figure out how the gap insurance works..i have it but what happens with the existing loan you have if its totaled?

    they pay whatever the insurance doesnt pay. its good to have it because we all know insurance companies dont pay everything always completly off. so gap takes care of the rest for and extra 5 bucks its amazing

    ok,like the insurance will pay most of for ex. car loan and the gap will cover the rest of the loan and give you extra cash on top of it,and youll get a new lancer for free.is that right????or do you still pay for the new one.

    they will also pay negative equity if you have any which is awesome

    lol i wish it was like that well they helped me get a new one they actually gave money down for it to lower my monthly. bill so im still paying my new one of you get it? kind of confusing i know i didnt get it first :lol:

    yea at first i was confused about how it worked.but now i get it.did you have to get the exact same one though or could you get a different car?

    no i got a different one. my old one was black just a normal DE and i ended up getting another lancer of course another DE the GTS & ES are to much for me and this one is WW spoiler, foglights just a lil extra nothing big but better than nothing :D

    so basically they will cover for the car that u bought, and what ever car u choose next is all in ur hand financially.

    Update!!!

    after a month of being lancer-less, i finally got another one!! i got basically the same thing as my last one just no sun and sound :(, im sure i will get used to not have that sun roof.
