im my opinion it sounds alot better that the Injen.. and a lil bit more push.. just enuff to feel a diff from the Injen. so who ever wants to buy the Injen? it only has about 1,500 miles on it. $150.00 local. and if u want it shipped tell me where u stay at and ill see how much is shipping. this is the Injen CAI im selling. it has everything it comes with exept the Box. but i will ship it with AEM box. Box will contain everything on the pic. including license place holder(not shown)
This is the PROTOTYPE.. so it is plastic.. i guess their release will be their alluminum.. colored options like the rest of their CAI line.
whew!.. i was gonna say that if its plastic they might have some problems with it once the engine starts getting hot lol...
PHEW fo a second i thought u got yous before i got mine i wioll have pics of the final product next week
Oh ok cool cause im still shoppin around for stuff for my '09 its hard but soon there will be so many parts to choose from you'll just get a head ache for that!
Sweet so how does the sound differ from the INJEN CAI? I mean like is it a deeper more natural sound or more on the deep ricey sound?
the MAF Sensor actually runs to the bottom.. its closer to the actual filter. unlike the Injen thats closer to the intake manifold.
for me it sounds better.. the Injen had a kinda high pitched tone.. this one has a nice deep tone to it.
Injen high pitched tone? What intake produces any type of high-pitched sound? I've never heard a single CAI/SRI that produces a high-pitched tone. Maybe you didn't have it installed correctly  But this intake looks nice...i'll know in a week or so the true difference in sound when Tom (SoFlA) gets his.
