i see that our headlights are 9006 51 watt what is the difference between the bulbs (please dont answer back 4 watts lol) what if any are the dangers of putting a 55W bulb in the 51W housing i only ask because online 9006 55W bulbs are about 4 bucks and the 51W ones are about $35
doesnt matter what watt they are only matters what size they are. the watt is basically gunna put out more with a 55w then a 51w
A 55w bulb will produce slightly more light output, but also produce more heat. The risk with using a higher wattage bulb is melting the bulb shield in a atandard headlight or the lens (if its plastic) in a projector housing. Going from a 51w to a 55w isn't going to cause that drastic of temp change ....so you should be good.
