This is what was said from another site.

"With the new Lancer chassis, Mitsubishi has combined the bumpstop and dust boot as ONE piece!

Cutting the bumpstops in this situation is not recommended for the following reasons:

    1. Cutting the lower portion deletes the dust boot all together setting you up for imminent premature shock failure as dirt and road grime find there way between the shafts and seals.

    2. Cutting the top portion (if even possible) removes the most robust section of the bumpstop which has the capacity to absorb the most load under compression. When doing this, long-term damage can occur to the chassis (actual sheet metal) as the bump stop is no longer effectively doing it's job when the shock bottoms out.
We actually have another car that was a victim of this poor decision. It's now been sitting idle for 3 months because the damage is so extensive.

Ok thanks they look good! I was thinking of the springs and some 19s but your 18s look good I might just stick with that. I read that on the other site, so they are saying that the works you dont cut the bumpstops and the RRM's you do?
