So Lancer is voted in Top 5 waste of money??

Eh probably because of the value decrease. I personally say the Lancer is great. I could avg. 32 mpgs almost all day long. And only HAD to pay for oil changes and gas. but I did buy mods =P

 

Those guys don't know what there talking about. Before I bought my Lancer i drove alot of crappy cars like the Chevy Cobalt and the Ford Focus. Lancer is by far the best car in that class.

 

what? they say a corolla is a better buy?!?!?! i have nothing against toyota itself, but corolla?!?!?! really!?!?! lancer looks way better and is way more effiecient (performance wise) than a corolla. Corolla to me is just a stretched egg with tires, and windows...come to think of it...most of toyota's cars look...egg-shaped....
and also they mentioned that an elantra is also a better buy?! i drove an elantra, and they are nothing but crap...seriously...

i like how they say that the elantra is cheaper to fix, but with a hundai you are fixing everything all the time, unlike a lancer :], PWND!!!!

 

how the hell do you get 32 mpg i get 24 on a good day

 

its funny how the lancer is voted in the top 5 but toyota is being forced to stop production till they fix all their damn recalls. UNLIKE the lancer

 

We get in the 30's easy with our GTS. Just dont drive stupid ALL the time. Use the little in dash MPG readout as a decent starting point indication of what speed and what gear gets you the efficiency your looking for.

 

we should find a way to fight this! my friend drives a Toyota corolla and he loves my car! he said he wished he had mine because of a bigger cabin! and i dusted him stock! wtf?

 

I have had an 03 Honda civic, a 06 G-35, and now the 08 lancer, and the lancer by far is the best car Ive ever owned. I get the best mileage out of the lancer than any of the other cars. The G-35 had wayyyy too many electrical problems and the gas mileage wasn't even that great. Plus all the body kits for it still make it look the same to me. Sure I had a bit more power in the 35, but that can be fixed in the lancer. Also the G-35 I had I later found out was in a huge accident that wasn't even reported to carfax so I had to get rid of it before the dealers could tell. Oh yea, and the Civic was just a piece of crap lol.

 

I got satelite radio, blue tooth, so many airbags, the RF system all for under $20k!?!?!? dont really get it...

 

I read this in yahoo...and I started thinking...who made this survey? The LANCER is by far to me the best car I've had. I use to drive a 01 Nissan Altima....it sucked on gas and I had to buy a few parts for it.....and to top it off, I got into an accident the the Air Bags didn't deploy....WTF?!

 

Well, you have to remember your car is almost brand new. So, things are going to be better, but it's probably Honda people making us look bad! Lol. 8O

 

I THINK YOUR RIGHT...IVE BEEN GETTING THIS LOOK AT THE LIGHT WHEN THERES A HONDA NEXT TO ME....THEY TRY TO RACE AND I THINK WHEN I SHOW THEM HOW STRONG THE LANCERS ARE...THEY TURN TO ANOTHER STREET....THAT PART IS ALWAYS FUNNY TO ME LOL

 

I never race, and my car isn't fast....at all. Lol. Give it time though. Hopefully sooner rather than later it'll be semi-quick.

well....its stock...and its still quick lol

 

the only thing i hate about our cars is the resale value.....drops very fast than any other car on that list pretty much.

 

What kinda cars are you beasting? A friend of mine has a new Civic with exhaust, and I can almost guarantee on highway or a stop it would just leave me. He let me drive it, and it accelerates a lot quicker than the Lancer.
