02-06 Lancer 2.0l engine setup!!

    Ok People i have looked through the forum and seen nothign on this one so i thought i would ask.
    I am looking at getting a AEM cold air intake system. on there site they have them for the 02 and 03 2.0l engines.
    My question is!!!!

    is the 02 or the 03 engine setup the same as the 04-06 setups.
    battery located near driver side headlamp
    right behind it is the fuse box
    and the air filter between those and the engine, or is it setup different?

    P.S. im talking about the ES and the OZ setup (not the evo or ralliart) :D

    yes the lancers from years 02-07 have same engine setup of the 4g94 2.0l....

    i bought the 02-03 aem cai for my car and install iz a snap.. they dont have ones for autos cause of the atx
    size compaired to the mt so you can do what i did and just use the upper elbow that has the info on it [ carb eq# ]
    and call it a day.. if u live in a smogg state like cali you are fine cause the part is for 02-03 years.. i have mine installed
    and i passed smogg earlier this year with it on

    if u have 02-03 u better get a cai for the 02-03 year or else u will fail smogg cause of the visual check portion, and they will run the eq# to see if it belongs on the car.. ex if u have a 04-07 u better not have a cai from a 02-03 lancer that alone will fail inspection

    I'm glad we don't have smog/emissions testing here.

    that is what i thought but i wanted to make sure!!! turbo-kits have this one for 2200

    I was thinking this would be a nice edition to my lancer!!!

    That's an awkward looking setup. Does it say what is included for 2200?

    it def looks different that is why the questions lol i trust the regular peoples opinion over shops anyday lol all these sold call parts places are a bunch of sales people that only know what they read or have done on the popular models of the lancers. yall are the ones that have tried crazy stuff and we are the ones that know how it doesnt bolt on everytime lol
