Something odd, any body else have this happen?

I would likwe to know...I'm thinking of getting LEDS and HIDS for my ride....and I really don't want to have the same problems

 

i have led tails to and what do you know mine stoped working to lol

 

small price to pay. especially if it is easily fixed. it should be. just waiting to see if anything "official" comes out for it.

warranty? its a safety feature if ur brake lights have problems cruise control wont work , cuise control uses the brakes and if u where to get rear ended ecause the brake light failed to waork lots of PPL would sue the car manufacturer

 

I am by no means an auto electrician but i found a customer that was having this issue that installed a wirewound 180 ohm 5W resistor in line with the LED's and this fixed the problem. These resistors can be found for less then a dollar most places. CHECK THE ATTACHED PICTURES. I hope this helps.

 

Ok follow up... So i bought 2 10 watt 100 ohm resistors and attached them one to each side of the break lights. I used a wire stripper to strip the red and black wires and connected the resistor to each side. Now the cruise control works and no CEL!!
