The answer to your question as of now is no, you can't really change the bulbs in the cluster because there are no bulbs to replace. I took my cluster apart today cause I wanted to do the same thing. What I found out was that there are three small white led on each side of the cluster. The red is a clear red in the overlay to give it red color. I guess what we can hope for is for some one to make a new custom over lay with the numbers and dashes blue. Hope this helps.

Most likely not at the moment since they have to take apart someones gauges and use them to make a custom overlay out of vinyl or w.e. they chose.

Is the "clear red" on the back of the gauge overlays? You may be able to scrape the "red" off the gauges leaving it clear. Then replace your white gauge lights with whatever color you want. I did this with my 01 Grand Am. Worked like a champ.

no prob....unfortunately I can't help you out more than the idea. I never took pics of my grand am gauges removed, and I actually don't have a lancer yet....key word being yet.

I didn't like the "pontiac red" gauges so I had to change them to blue. They're still like that.

If someone could post up a pic of the back of the gauges we may be able to tell if it's even possible.

Semi off topic - but is there a way to change the LED display color? I'd love blue gauges but I think they'd look weird with a red display in the middle of the gauges.

go for the GTS :p... but ya me too, putting down my 98 civic w/ 75k miles, blue book says just about 4500, then parents said they'll help w/ 2k since they helped w/ my bro's car... and i'll probably put down about 3-4k after working all summer =)... that comes out to... 9500 - 10500... i'll probably get a fully euqipped GTS minus the nav, since... who needs nav? lol =)

also the best thing is, i have about 6-8 dealerships to choose from, since my home is in ft laud, but i go to UCF so i'm in Orlando, but i'm in gainesville all the time too... so bascially i have almost all of florida mitsubishi dealerships to choose from... it's gonna be fun getting quotes from them all =)... lots and lots of fun ^_^
