    Hey guys,

I just installed my works ride springs a month ago and now I'm starting to notice that my front suspension or whatever is starting to creak when I turn the steering wheel left or right. This creaking is especially evident when I'm going low speeds. Do you guys have an idea what it might be? I'm sure if I bring it into the dealership I'm gonna get screwed over because I did the spring installation myself and it's probably my fault..eeks..any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

    moos.

    haha i get creaking also.
    its perfectly normal.
it creaks because the hats werent greased when the install was done.
    its fine.
i tried to listen to it from outside the car. but you cant really hear it. its more amplified inside the vehicle

its either the springs bedding in or they aren't sitting correctly in the strut.

try jacking up the car and twisting the spring round til the edge of the bottom part of the spring hits the stop/edge of the strut (if that makes ense...)

Mine do it, but only when it is below 60 degrees. I was informed by another member this creaking noise is known as coil slap. It's perfectly normally from what I've been told.

Its normal. The RRM springs do it as well.

i sprayed it wd-40 a few weeks ago around the top and the bottom of the springs and now its gone...

  10. truth. i dropped mine on grip springs by rrm and they creaked, sprayed a little tri-flow in the bottom perches and shes golden. mabye try that? from what i can tell its a poor design in our car's lower perches, the springs could be held in there tighter imo.

it is not normal. That's the reason I am going back to stock springs. Not only creaking sound but a lot of sounds.
