if im cruising and not stomping on the gas i get between 28-31. Going from CT to VA Beach for the meet I was getting 32 mpg at one point for a while. Mods are listed in my sig.

I average 30-34 on long trips... see list in my sig....

 

2hr trip SD to LA.. 32mpg. Daily drive 50mi rnd trip to and from work... 30mpg.

 

some how i got 41mpg going on an hour and 1/2 trip.. ive been feathering the pedal and so far no mods.. let alone im due for some new oil...
idk if i can get better or not. but im happy =D

 

i just came home from goin to New Jersey from MA. on average my speed was 70-80 and only did one rest stop. i got about 26-28mpg. no engind mods. idk how u guys do it lol and i dont give alot of gas. stay under 3k rpm

 

there is no way you were going 70-80mph and staying under 3k. our cars in 5th gear the rpms are at 3500 easy. unless you have 6 gears hehe

 

i got about 35 going from NC to NY on a CVT

 

lol yup, the slow 6speed . 80mph=2,700rpm straight away (cvt)

 

between 30 and 34. One of the great things i love about this car.

 

That's about what my 7th gen gets, too. Around 30-32 on the highway, but I have been driving in the city for just about the whole summer, so I have been getting worse gas mileage.

 

I cruise on the freeway going 80mph on 2500 rpm. CVT baby.

 

on the highway at about 65 im averaging 36-40. If i use Cruise control. :tongue:

 

Usually 26-34 which is pretty damn good for Chicago.. considering the traffic n all >.> When im driving on long trips.. during non traffic hours, its 34+ most i got was 39

 

i mostly do short trips and average around 27-30, im not that light footed though lol. on the couple longer trips i have taken got aroung 34-37. not to bad in the five speed. but out here you have to run min like 80 on the auto bahns otherwise you will get ran the fuck over. i mean even the smart cars were running 80-90 Lmao. (all speeds in mph not klm)

Yup CVT will do under 3k rpms at 80 no problem....when I try....I get around 27 to 32mpg but to be honest I have bad driving habits most of the time and I stomp my gas all the timeso I linger between 19 and 25 mpg

 

I guess there are forums dedicated to this and some people have gotten up to 50 mpg...I myself have driven on the expressway going 60 mph and averaged up to 42 mpg on long trips, and 36mpg going about 65-70mph. Only mod really is an Injen intake and I use 5w-30 synthetic mobil 1 oil.

 

on my commute (appox 190 miles) I average around 48 - 52mpg cruisising between 70 - 90mph

around town I get approx 42 - 44mpg

 

How the hell are you guys getting around 40... I get 34 if I try lol. Cruise control at 80 with CVT. Stays right between 2500 and 2750.
