how good of a deal is this kit for the 4B11? nyone have it installed, if so can i get some feed back on this complete kit.
rrm website is the only place to get it, it is the only turbo kit that is for sale atm made for our cars. I heard its great and its a direct bolt on. i think 2 or 3 of our members have it.
cool thanks for the feedback on it. im jst trying to figure out what all i actually want to do to thes car. i plan on keeping it long term and want to be happy with the power. right now its a little slow for my taste, feels like it has to work a little hard to get up to speed. love the car, but it needs a little help lol.
not really...but im going for the turbo kit from rrm and puttng it in my es so yeah...hopefully the first 08 lancer es on the island that is turbo'd.
sweetness lol always nice to be the first or only one of something. let me know how easy it installs and what kind of before and after performance you get from it if you could.
Are you manual or CVT? There looking for someone to step up for the CVT kit. Either way a lot of ppl are happy with it. Ask Serious08, a respected member on this site.
Yup, I love the kit. It comes with EVERYTHING you need. Even the nuts/bolts/washers. I didn't have to buy anything extra. The car now fells more alive. You will have slight turbo lag (as with all kits) but its nothing serious. With the kit your car will be around 215-230 whp.
i'm not tryin 2 hate on the rrm turbo kit or people who have it, the only thing i'm gonna say is that it's overpriced. u can easily put 2gether a turbo kit for way less. for example i know people who are gonna help me find everything i need and get the turbo from an evo8 or evo9 and it's gonna be waaaay less than the 5 grand they want. so yeeeeea. but if u got the money, then hell go for it!!! just know u can put 2gether ur own turbo kit for way less.
Good luck on the tuning there young grasshopper. There is a reason why RRM is the ONLY company that has a turbo on the market.
did you have to upgrade anything else on the car because of the power difference? Clutch/Flywheel? Engine mounts? Brakes?
They are the only company that has a proven kit on the market right now. Not even Xtremeboost or whatever they are called from EvoM. They have been trying for what 2.5 years now????
Nope. Clutch handles it fine. You can go with better engine mounts to help with the launch but not a neccesity. Brakes are always good but again not a neccesity. I have changed my pads but thats it. Other than that, you do have to change your oil.
http://forums.evolutionm.net/lancer...ech/344355-2008-turbo-kit-xtremeboost-59.html Say what you want. It may not be on a website, but they have a running kit making really good power on the 2.0l.
