HI, It has been a long time since I post on the forums... life and all ( wife gave birth to twins a year ago.. so Ive been busy, lol). Anyway.. my OE Dunlop 5000 tires are shot. I need new tires, but I find myself short on cash lately (kids drain my wallet faster then I thought they would, lol). I found some tires for a good price, but they are not OE sized. The OE are 215/45R18 (8.465" width x 3.809" sidewall) These are 235/40R18 (9.252" width x 3.701" sidewall) The sidewall is pretty close, but the width is a shade over 3/4" wider. Do you think this tire size is doable? Or is there a problem trying this size? Has anyone here done this size? I ask because I can get this size, locally, at $80 a tire.. then they are running a coupon that has an extra $45 off for four tires. That would be $275 for all four tires. What do you think? Wasper
wooohooo wasper long time lol.... you been missing a lot around the NE... we got ppl now!!! I say go for it.. they should work I havent heard of any issues with 235's
I have 235/40/18 on my stock GTS tires and I'm lowered on TEINs and it's perfect. I'm getting 245/40 with Volk CE28Ns 18x8.5 +30 in Nov 12th, so..
