If you had $7000 dollars to play with what would you do to a stock lancer?

i think its a fun game where i can get some ideas for my mods and i can still see how you guys plan your cars out.

turbo, lighter/wider wheels (8.5 at least with good rubber), pads, calipers, brake lines. Probably at $7k right there. LSD if there was any left over.

No point in doing any internals until at the very minimum the above is already taken care of.

Edit: Didn't notice the CVT part... get some tranny work done too. I would be willing to bet that CVT will not last long with the amounts of heat it will have to handle with a turbo. Better crack that ECU so you don't drive in limp mode 99.9% of the time. The CVT will not let you rip on it hard.

A lot. Plus, why would you want to change the transmission in a new car???

    Put together t3/t4 turbo kit - 3500
    Megan coilovers - 850
Stripped interior - say... 200 bucks for supplies
    Bride racing seats- 600
    CF hood/trunk - 1000 ish
850 bucks left. tune, underdrive pulley, 4g93 intake mani, and a bigger MAF or something

    DAMN how I wish i had 7 grand =[

I'd bank that 7k, work for a year, keep your car as is, and get a used Evo. You might be able to get 11-12k from your car and then get a used Evo for 22-24k

I just pulled some strings at the dealership. Looks like I might be getting the gts manual now. No cvt. So ignore that part.

    In that case:
    Axxis ULT pads - ~ $200
    Brake Lines- $200
    Wider wheel+tire package - $2000 at least
    clutch (w/install)- $1000

at this point you will be breaking the bank with a turbo, so I would sit on it for a while to get a good feel for how to drive the car with the newer modifications. Heck you could throw some coils if you plan to track, or springs otherwise and really have a nice looking/handling ride! After another year or so when you have the money saved, go turbo. By then you will most likely have found your ralliart turbo, pipes, FMIC, etc...

But that is just MY opinion...

EDIT: for those saying internals or stroker kit. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard!!!
