I have the megan coilovers and my car is dropped significantly. I am still running the stock 09 GTS wheels and tires. My questions are after reading through post what is the widest rim possible to run with this setup and not have problems rubbing and any ideas for tires on the rim sizes provided. Ill leave it up to you guys to give me some feedback. I appreciate any help or ideas from anyone.

First off, do not drop more then 1.5". Lower then this will make handling worse. The geometry of the suspension is not something you want to mess with.

8.5 would require minimal fender modification but will fit. any wider is going to be harder to handle. Offset is a big factor as well. I know there are lancers running 8.5" +30 and +35 with minor fender modification.

I just went to my local rim shop today and they said i would need some fender rolling if i were to go 8.5's.
I have the Eibach sportline springs on.
So im guessing 8 wide would work without rolling rims.
Im looking at putting these guys on in a Matte Gray Silver:

This is for the ralliart, but from what i can see the chassis is the same so this should work for you...hopefully!
    Hi Everyone,

I have been researching high and low... and I am looking get the maximum wide wheel can fit the New Ralliart...

    Stock Spec
    PCD 5X114.3
    SIZE 18X7
    OFFSET 46MM
    HUB 67MM
    TIRES 215/45-18

Now form what I know.... 8.5 is the wides we can squeeze with out rolling the REAR fender.

Here are some options I found

    Look 18x9s on a RA!!!!

18x9 +45 will = front maxed flushed and maxed flushed rear
Inner Clearance: 24mm LESS Outer Face Position: 26mm MORE
Tires: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height
***When Lowered [MIGHT rub a little on the REAR fenders with my calculation on bumps, dips, and pot holes and maybe driveways too]***
***Prefect fitment without spacer and stock height***Updated 5-31-09 "from what I can see"

18x8.5 +38 will = fronts will poke out about 1/4" and rears will be flushed
Inner Clearance: 11mm LESS Outer Face Position: 27mm MORE
    Tires:
225/45 18 if lower to prevent rubbing and cutting of the wheel on the fender
235/40 18 will rub a little on the fenders with my calculation on bumps, dips, and pot holes and maybe driveways too
***This fitment is too AGGRESSIVE with rolling the fenders***
***Now for the JDM look this will work for those dont know what i mean is the slammed drifter look in japan where all 4 wheels poke out just little past the fenders and the car has rock hard suspension setup and lower the car to about 1 1/2" before rubbing the fenders***

18X8.5 +44 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 5mm spacer to be flushed
Inner Clearance: 17mm LESS Outer Face Position: 21mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height

18X8.5 +48 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 5mm to be flushed [10mm spacer to be MAX flushed]
Inner Clearance: 21mm LESS Outer Face Position: 17mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height
***Prefect fitment with 5mm spacer in the back***Updated 5-21-09

18x8 +30 will = fronts will be poke out about 1/2" flushed and rears will be maxed flushed
Inner Clearance: 3mm LESS Outer Face Position: 29mm MORE
    Tries:
225/45 18 if lower to prevent rubbing and cutting of the wheel on the fender with out rolling

18x8 +40 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 10mm spacer being maxed flushed
Inner Clearance: 7mm LESS Outer Face Position: 19mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height

18x8 +45 will = fronts will be closer to being flushed and rears will need a 10mm spacer to be maxed flushed
Inner Clearance: 12mm LESS Outer Face Position: 14mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height
    ***FIT PERFECT with out SPACER***

18x8 +48 will = fronts will be closer to being stock and rears will be closer to being stock
Inner Clearance: 15mm LESS Outer Face Position: 11mm MORE
Tries: 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height

    General Wheel Fitment Info...
Make sure you get hub rings for all aftermarket wheels don't want any weird noise, vibration or shaking...
make sure the wheel can fit oem tire pressure sensor ... for some reason not all aftermarket wheel fit it...

stay away from fake and cheap aftermarket light aluminum lugs... i have seen and have had lugs break off on a track day... if 2lbs matter to you get some reputable brands like work wheels and ray wheels that the ones i buy...

    Rear space Info...
Make sure it is hub centric... don't want any weird noise, vibration or shaking in the back!!!

If anyone else can give me more info on what they have or tried that will be great!!! TOGETHER we can make this the 2009 LANCER RALLIART WHEEL AND TIRES FITMENT THREAD

I have 8Jx R18 Rim with an offset from 42mm
wheels are 225/40 R18 on it.

Lower my car with the H&R springs 40/35 mm and nothing had to be done on the fenders.
    They fit perfect

    actually
i know someone from 9glancers and he is running
    18x9.5 and i believe a +35 offset
rolling on some stretched ass 225s
its possible but he had to roll his fenders

If you get two different offset for front and back you could make it flush without spacers no?

Just to rehash an old thread, I was talking to a friend of mine and we both came to the conclusion that the "hellaflush" look is really quite nice especially on a car that won't be seeing too many track days.

Currently rocking some 225/45/18's with some Work wheels. Not sure if they are 18x8 or 18.5 but they sit close to flush. Maybe another 5mm and it'd be perfect so maybe 8.5? Either way looking to get some coil overs as well in the future. Something like Megan or Tein Basic.

What I'd like to know, is if anyone on here has played with the widths of the rims/tires too much and found a nice combo that works. I'd like the flush fitament and from what I see 8.5" is the max, so maybe a 8.5" front and 9" rear? Probably a 32-35 offset? Your opinions count here guys.
