hey guys! you got a noob here but happy to join anyway.

i got the RRM SRI just like everyone(almost) elz. but i did a research quite a lot and i actually contacted ROB from RRM before i got the SRI.

He said this exact words on my e-mail: "NO CAI is planned. Look at the space you have between trans and fans and you will see why."

As for me, i think a CAI is possible (i think) if you relocate the battery maybe where tha OEM air box sits and use that spot for the filter and incorporate a cold air box for it to be a true CAI---i think there's a lot of
cold air rush on that spot but that will require a lot of mods.

Other shops may have other CAI designs that will be out in the market soon but they may just be an intake with long pipes and not engineered/designed for max air flow.

    what do you guys think?

    in due time

you got the same idea i wanna put into mind moving the battery..

well when KRU come back maybe me and him can try that but CIA is possible

possibly making the MAF sensor longer would help alot ive gotten piping perfectly through down by the fogs

i do have an idea similar to yours---running a pipe thru the left fog light grill but using my existing SRI + some kit and hardware. and yep, that MAF needs to be longer.

no... about moving the battery and having it run by the lamp

a "little" bit similar i mean--without relocating my battery.

from what ive tried my piping doesnt fit through there but if you get something to fit on the otherside of the battery with i small filter let me know id be intrested

piping?..well, we all definitely don't want a pipe smaller than 3" diam. 3" pipes will give you a good air flow and velocity regarding that the pipe bends are not so awkwardly angled.

as for filters?..if you wanna go smalller, try mushroom foam filters with 3"inlet (HKS,Simota,Ractive). foam elements are "supposebly" better than cotton gauze, apparently you gain up to "80%" of air flow thru the filter and better filtration.

as for my plans..i wouldn't call it a CAI but more of a TRUE Ram intake. i'm still looking for stuff i can use in autoparts store and hardwares.

i'll post a pic i guess when i'm done in 4 weeks or so.

    good luck on your project.
