Ive been looking at some evo x cf hoods. If you got one please post pics. AND do you have hood pins installed?
Yeah im gonna get the Evo X Style. If you got the one im thinking you got, it looks too, like muscle to me. i dunno, just dont really like it.
I love mine no need for pins. I may hve wrecked it though. the screws that hold it to the hood bracket got pulled out of the fiberglass on one side. Still works just kinda bobs up and down on the one side up near the windshield. little unerving
thats the one im gonna eventually buy chokingchiken. Im afraid of the hood flying in my face when im flying down the highway. Does it lock like the stock one? i like the ride btw.
Ya it works exactly like stock and it has no issues whilst going fast. I had one issue but it was my own falut, i forgot to lock it down all the way before heading out and it flew up once i got on the highway. but it works fine if you're not an idiot like me
i just got a matte finish oem evox cf hood from siebon and it fits perfect! if any one else wants a true siebon oem CF hood gloss or matte finish i have a hook up for 489 shipped brand new sorry but i dont know how to get pics on here or i would show it off lol!
i had a cf hood, but i forgot to latch the hood pins and it flew in my windshield. good news the hood is still good, bad news i needed a new windshield.
Depends on the hood, the sacrifice of getting CF is that without hoodpins, you risk it lifting at higher speeds, and flying off, or damaging your windshield....but hey, you lose some weight on the car....besides , hoodpins on the lancer look bad anyway. Personally I'd get one without pins, but if you plan on racing around town every time you get into the car....a 25 dollar hoodpin investment could save you some trouble later on.
no hood pins are anything works jiust fine and i have had it in the triple didgets so your good to go
