hey guys, i did a search and didnt find this anywhere so i figured ide ask, has ony1 ever used that plasti-dip stuff on the entire rim to paint them? it seemed like a good idea, flat black rims would look pretty sweet on my black gts untill i can afford better rims, and its reversable, plus i wont need to scuff my rims....any thoughts?

I am planning on trying this out tomorrow night, I'll be posting pics. I got the plasti dip right in front of me but I have to wait for it to dry and I have work today and tomorrow. How many coats you guys think?

yea thats a question i was asking my self, i know the more coats u put the tougher it is....and im guessing rims ake more punishment then other parts would so i would say a decent amount of coats, could be wrong tho lol

so by doing this the rims would have like a rubbery texture to em rite? and logically thinking, the more coats you put, the bulkier it's going to look correct? like the spokes would look thicker. i'm sure that would mean great protection for the rims though. lol definitely post pics when ur done dude.

    Wow that looks pretty sick.
How many coats did you put on the rims?
If I were you I'd paint those calipers white.

I did three coats. I used Meguires quick detailer and wiped them down, did three coats, let them dry for about two hours, and carefully put them back on. But yes I do need to paint my calipers for sure. And the wheels are actually darker in person. My camera is just stupid.
