I have these rims from my old car. I want to put some tires on them. On the EVO I ran 235/45's

    The wheels are Rota Torques
    18x8 +35 offset

    I want to get
    225/45/18's

but from searching everyone says to get 225/40's.

This is for my 2009 Ralliart. Also, does anyone know for sure that the suspension and spacing is the same as the GTS?
Is the only difference in the shock and springs?

I don't to waste time or money on this.

    Thanks so much.

Thanks, I've seen that. I don't know if I could trust it. It doesn't account for the space that there is stock...
I'm going to try 225/45's. Wish me luck.

only difference bw 225/45 and 225/45 is height of sidewall. Width is the same.

I meant 225/45 vs 225/40.... sorry for the confusion

    225/45 to 225/45 ??
    where is the difference?

the widest wheels you can put on a 8" rim is 245
    but it won´t look sexy.
take the 224/45 but you can even try 235/45

    I mounted my winter stuff.
    18x8 +35 Rota Torques Bronze $450
225/45/18 Continental Xtreme Contact Patch Tires $430
    Muteki Lugs black
This is better wheel and tire setup than stock. It feels more planted and doesn't 3 wheel all the time. Plus, it's a lot safer than the stock summer tires.
This offset pushes the wheels pretty far, its a little pass the fender line. There is zero rubbing. I can drive normal.

Going to go more aggressive in the summer.

    Hahaha, Been a while.

I have learned the wheel fitments. 18x7.5 +42 gives a perfect stance.
    18x8 +37 also gives a great stance.

+35 offset rubs a little in the rear on hard cornering, dips and speed bumps.

Does anybody know the size of our wheels?
i assume that its 18x7 5x114.3 offset is +46 right??

Yes, that is correct. On the 18x8" +35mm offset wheels I'd run 235/40-18s.

I have Evo X wheels and am running a slightly narrower tire than they do, so I have 235/40/18s on an 8.5 wide rim! Works great and I'd bet money that they would work awesome for an 8in wide rim!

    Anyone know if running

18x.7.5 52 offset with 225/40/18 Tires along with the drop from RRM lowering springs is ok?

I know the wheels fit just wondering how flush it will be with those size tires

hum well i had a couple of people tell me its fine since its not +52 or -52 offset. Tirerack said they will fit fine and they would not have put them up if they didnt fit our cars. My worry is the drop and the tires.

Im runing Enkei RPF1 18x8.5 30 0ffset with Falken Azenis 245/40 on my GTS. TEIN suspension.
Perfect stance i think. They stick out a little. No rubbing.

Only needed a little fender roll in the back.

^ that looks very nice. Is it the springs only or coil overs? Car looks tight BTW!

What about 18.7.5 +35, Will those run into the same up in back?
