Hey everyone, just bored at home and decided to post this up just for information purposes. I recently reinstalled Vista (still sucks balls), but i had to do it since i had too much shit on my previous XP setup. So heres the thing, post what web browser you use, any add-ons you have for it and what is it about it you like, simple...so lets start... Firefox 3.0.8 Add-ons: Adblock Plus 1.0.1 AnyColor 0.2.5 AutoPager 0.4.1.2 CoolPreviews 2.7.2 Delicious Bookmarks 2.1.034 DownloadHelper 4.2 Fast Dial 2.22b Fission 1.0.3 ImageTweak 0.18.1 Media Converter 1.0.2 Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.0 NoScript 1.9.1.4 PDF Downlload 2.1.0.2 Photobucket Uploader 1.3 Skype extension for Firefox 2.2.0.102 Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.3 WOT 20090325 Yoono 5.4.0 Yeah i know thats a shit load of add-ons...beleive it or not i use them all...reason i like Firefox so much would be the versatility of modding it to your likes and the security features it has...ive used Google's Chrome browser, and its ok, but i didnt its plain format...hate Explorer!!
I'm using Google Chrome. No add-ons yet. I don't really need any as of right now. Hmmmmm.... What I like about it... There is almost no toolbar. Just the tabs at the top, and then a few favorites listed underneath. Looks very clean.
Luv no mean to hate, but there are much better browsers than explorer...ask anyone, hell i can even list a few of the good ones....firefox, chrome, opera, safari....these ive used all...bitcomet has one, forgot the name...among others...
I know nothing of computers. I just know IE is what I've used since I was 12 lol so it's just what I'm used to
I am running IE too but that is only because the majority of users that use my websites do and I need to make sure it at least functions correctly there lol..
use to love firefox, but now im loving safari 4 beta. im just waiting for chrome to come out for mac and then ill prob get that
tons of useful plug-in, better security, loads page faster, shows webpages the way it's meant to be. basically when FF came out it had stunning features that IE didnt have yet, like tabbed browsing, search bar, some like it cause its open source, i like it cause it doesnt crash so often like IE.
^just like Thatguy said, FF has better security and a lot more features that IE doesnt have...reason i like FF so much is for all the add-ons you have to play with...it makes FF more interesting and useful...heres a pic of my setup
Google Chrome...fast and not cluttered with all this tabs and shit. I use the old Netscape Navigator for logging into accounts and stuff though.
yeah the real argument is chrome or firefox. some people like chrome because its faster and doesnt have all the extra stuff firefox offers. FF is working perfect for me so there's no point in me to switch to chrome.
