Interested in new seats. Guys with new seat please read

    So, i am interested in purchasing some racing seats for my gts. I know recaros are nice and way out of my budget. Does anyone here know of any websites that sells 2 front seats without any modifications required. I want to get these seats and have them bolt right up to my oem brackets... or something like that. Just like you would get recaros and swap them over from evo to gts

    ive done some looking into this also.. The only thing we can get so far is the recaros.. because they come with the built in airbags.. I looked into aftermarket seats and talked to mitsu and they told me that because aftermarket ones done come with airbags or a airbag sensor that it would disable to whole airbag system in the car.. Kinda sucks!

    Last I read no one has proven that the whole system stops working. Actually, I will look around but I think they proved the opposite. If you do get aftermarket seats, the srs light on the dash will light up. That is about the only negative i know of from the car. Talk to you insurance provider and ask if they will cover you if you do this. I know some providers can refuse coverage if you intentionally remove airbags, or seat airbags in this case.

    Also, no aftermarket seat will bolt up to our rails. Bride makes rails that would work for our car though. If I were going to do this I would look at some brides and call maybe RRM who has racing seats and ask them what they have disovered.

    im shure you can swap out the seats with out any problems.
    but as mentioned above, the airbag light will light up.
    i remember reading somewhere that you can put resistors on the airbag cable and it will get rid of the airbag light.
    and it will not disable them.

    i dont know bro, as for now i am looking into recaros. They will brake my bank, but i want them. I probably will need to keep my old ones for a while... you know just in case... oh as well i would need your help one of these days to ride up to charlotte with me. I have a dude from there that is willing to sell, just need to set up some time...

    its about 2 grand for the recaros. i was looking into them and i was told the same thing about the airbag sensors
