    Does your 09 gts feel fast. I mean 1st and 2nd gear feel the best to me. I was flooring it tonight in 3rd from a roll and the revs go up kinda slow does it feel this way to you??

    ^ so what your say'n is you started in 3rd... from a roll... like 5 - 10 MPH... if so than duh... u just skiped / short shifted... it's gona go slow... more detail... :newb:

    These cars aren't fast, they look good, and have possibilities, but not fast ... I'll give them sporty (based on the weight they are lugging around) and with some mods even go as far as quick. Personally I bought the car for looks, so speed I don't car about. :D

    The 2.4 definately feels quicker than the 2.0 so 09 GTS ftw.

    I would like a little more low end torque. But coming from an RSX Type S to the Lancer I am pleased with the low end power. My RSX had no torque at all but a lot on the top end. Not sure if I'm a fan of the drive by wire yet, it just doesn't seem as responsive.

    2.4 > 2.0 FED > 2.0 PZEV
    Either way they're going to be slow unless you want to invest in a turbo kit like a few member have already. A few simple bolt-ons can help but you're not going to get that much out of it. There is a slight problem of the car looking fast and being fast.

    That 3rd gear pull difference may have alot to do with the cam timing being retarded. My old evo would lose some torque in the upper RPM's due to the ECM pulling timing. Timing being pulled back or rerating the performance of the car is just a surefire way of Mitsu. reducing warranty costs and extending the life of their engines from the users. Alot of manufacterers do this.

    mine is slow but then again i also have a evo sooo not much impresses me now and the lancer is the wifes car so safe for her! lol

    my Lancer seems to do its best in second gear, first isnt that great and i dont feel alot of pull in higher gears, but if you time second right than you can get some quick power

    If you take 2nd to redline, 3rd isn't too bad... but from a rolling start, not so much

    our third gear is actually our strongest. there is no actual pull until third
