Not too familiar with the Lancers myself, recently joined the board, soaking in info and vendors as fast as i can, my buddy is looking to sink some money into his 08 and I was wondering if anyone has had the head off of one of these things. There may be some turbo parts coming soon and i want this motor to breathe. I'm experienced with head porting, valve work, and sheet metal fabrication. I would like to start with the head and build my way outwards. what do you think? i want to get this head off the car. any head gaskets out there? do i need any new hardware? Head bolts or anything? would like to lower the C/R a little without buying a stroker kit. This should be a pretty cool project, i look forward to sharing. any help is appreciated
None that I have seen. Gaskets are going to come from the dealership. No aftermarket on them so far. Since you want to do the work your self on the pnp head and internals, WORKS is selling stronger internals (pistons, rods, ect) all the way up to 2.4L. Just the stronger internals for a 2.0 are $1900.
yeah where is that i went on their website and there is nothing there....unless you are talking about the program for the evos... but no internals there for the 4b11 or 4b12s
