So I noticed today as I was about to shift my car into reverse... when my car is in park, and you hit the brake, it goes CLICK, really really loudly. (so loudly my ex-bf on the bluetooth speaker thingie in my car could hear it lol). I've never noticed this before since I always have music on, but ... is this normal?? It's kinda annoying.
normal..i think it;s the lock solenoid of the tranny...it only de-energizes when you shift from park to reverse.and that small box cover above the sign P is where you'll find the override access just in case you're stalled and want to shift the gear from P to Neutral
I've never heard it do this before... (CVT) This isn't when trying to shift, it's simply when I hit my brake pedal while in park something in my shifter goes Clunk/click ... really loudly... hard to explain... but maybe it's done it all the long and I never noticed but...who knows...
yep happens to me too.. its not constant but its every now and then.... bah...... so many noises coming from this car i dont even car lol... as long as it takes me from A to B im good... cant wait to get rid of it.. i painted my calipers and some other goodies and i havent even botherd to take pics :?
Well it's fate... All people want change. I myself still love the Lancer. Yes the paint blows. Yes the WHP blows. Yes the DRL issue blows. The cost of after market parts blows. But in the end i'll goto the EXO X or Ralliart when i get the funds. New houses are expensive in the first few years lol. I also have had the key issue? It's only happened to me twice i think, the wife tells me its happened to her also. But l myself have not heard the clunk, click thing yet. But i am rigid (anal lol) when it comes to maintainence and upkeep. Sooo it good to see some old faces and alot of new ones for sure. I'm going to get my EXO X muffler installed soon i'll post some vids so we all can hear what it sounds like on a DE lol. Can anyone tell me is there any kits out there to customize your rear bumper?
That should happen in any non-manual car, as that click is the car disengaging the lock that keeps you from going from park to reverse or drive without pressing the brakes (so that you can't accidentally bump it). Although I must admit it's not as loud in some cars, it's still present.
