I have a question for anyone who has a new generation lancer with 20 inch rims on there car.

The question is this, Do you guys notice more road noise?

I definitely noticed alot more road noise but since this is my first 20" rims on a car idk whats normal or not.

Also it kinda sounds like the tires may be unbalanced maybe?

Also on certain speeds the steering wheel will shake very little bit.
    Ex 0 - 45 no shakes 50 - 60 lil bit of a shake 60 - 70 no shakes

See at certain speeds it shakes 50 - 60 mph.

Can anyone give me some feedback on this? Please and thnx

well that may be because the lancer wasn't really designed for anything really above 18"----doable? absolutely>< personally I wouldn't go above 18's, but everyone likes something different :) ---typically larger tires will make more road noise---of course it also depends on the tires, because that contributes to road noise as well as other factors :)

of course air pressure inside the wheel well contributes as well as you drive faster. some people would argue that---but larger wheels = less open-space in the wheel well = less space for free-flow air = higher pressure = more noise.

damn 20's on a lancer? I personally thought 18's were already a little too big for a econo car like the lancer.

When your hubs start effin up and your warranty doesnt cover it you will know why peple dont do 20s... the hubs for these cars are weak as it is.. and 20s are extremely heavy for them... plus they look dumb...

the road noise is because of your tires... what size tires are you using?

Whats this HUB you speak of? The Fenders? Suspension?

Can anyone with 20's confirm this? Ive had them on for 3 weeks and have no issue besides the vibration and noise.

from personnel experince because i had 20s on my car, changed them back to 17in because the 20s you cant really turn, they rub and it just makes the car sit to high off the ground

Hmm maybe you had your tires to wide? Cuz my turning is fine with ZERO rub in the front. The back is a different story i get rebounds alot so they rub the back fenders. Ive checked them everyday and the fenders are still 100% solid just they get dirty with tire residue.

Sit to high? well yea they are 20's... 2 inches higher in every corner of the car. Yea i say its much higher. But very sexy. IMO.

yeah it does look good, and my tires werent rubbing in the front just the back, and i could still turn but the turning radius was terrible compared to the 17 i have now. but 20s are good if your just looking for show and to cruise.

Yea i get what you say about the turn radius. Which is true having 20's will not allow you to turn on the dime anymore but shit i look good turning them anyway!

Yea ~HALO~ is our Car Club so were all just show and no go but we will provide the "go" if needed :D
