Have you looked at Wheelfire.com? Choose the year, make, model, wheel size. there ya go!

Now If I wanted to lower the car about an inch, should I go for 17's instead of the stock 18's?

No stick with 18"s. I have LF-10's with a lower profile tire and they seemed smaller when they pulled it out after install. I'm about to throw some progress springs on it next week and that will give me a more fuller look compared to what it is now. Those are 1.5 and 1.4 still with a lot of room. Only way I would get it lower would be to put Tein S-techs on it which would be to much of a drop for me and for my car IMO.

Is it a big deal to have the offset +45 instead of +46? I found some wheels i love and they're just about the perfect size except for the 1mm difference in the offset.

There aren't any sizes that fit on the list from that link.

go to wheels next or discount tire. they both have wheels that fit our cars.and when redgalant states something re: wheel fitment and tire fitment trust me he would know.

Slight jacking of thread, does offset matter when choosing a tire size? Saw some pics of an 18x8 rim with 37+ offset with 235/40's that looked perfect mounted. The rims I ordered are 18x8 with 48+ offset, will I be okay with 235/40 or should I drop down to 225/40? I don't want the stretched look at all :?

Offset matters when on the vehicle, it doesn't directly affect the choice of tire size otherwise. I'd suggest 225/40-18s if you are going to run 18x8 +48mm wheels. Depending on the wheels backspacing 235s may or may not fit. In other words they 'could' rub the strut tower. I'd like to see if 235s fit with that high an offset wheel in the front. I don't see a problem with it in the rear of the car. The front could pose a problem though.

The stock GTS wheel is 7in wide.

I am running EvoX GSRs on my car with a slightly narrower tire. Its only 235 wide. I dont have any fitment issues, no rub, no nothing! Have not had to pull or roll the fenders. Prob will when I drop it, but she is smooth right now.
