lol, I was gonna say the same thing. They are performance tires? But I never owned them so I dont know how well they perform dry, (Ive heard how bad they are in snow and wet circumstances). Performance tires are not all season tires, hmm not even all season tires are for that matter lol.

ya i was thinkin the same thing.. if i drop it i can put the camber kit to adjust the front but its the rear tire that im having the most problems from so when i drop my car i still wouldnt be able to adjust the rear.. and ya even if these are performance tires i havent taken them to the track and havent driven them hard at all so even if i didnt have performance tires it wouldnt matter to me right now... but i honestly thought they were regular tires lol

ok so i went to my dealership earlier today and i talked to some guy in the service department and he said that there is a 12 month/12000 mile warranty on stock alignment and struts and stuff... so after trying to piss him off to the point that he would just give in.. which he didnt.. he told me the only thing i could do from this point was to go down to discount tire and see if the dunlops have some warranty on them that mitsu doesnt... i highly doubt this but ima still give them a call tomm before i go to class... but for now ima just drop my car and then get it aligned later... or call that tech hotline # and give them the case number and see if they can help me out that way... but as for warranty... there is none unless u have less than 12K miles and have had the car for less than 12 months!!!

    Guys,

Not sure if you are aware of this, but there are now adjustable rear camber arms available for the Lancer 08 model.

They are manufactured by http://www.hardrace.com and are available in Singapore now. Cost is estimated at approximately US$300, plus shipping if you are interested I can probably hook up a few sets (I have a PAYPAL account to make things easy).

I have them installed on my 2.0 CVT and they certainly make the car feel more planted once you change the front camber bolts to adjustables.

If you want more info, e-mail me at simon.cj.walker@gmail.com.

i told mitsubishi to do an alignment on my car cuz it was pulling and they did, when i went to pick it up later on they said the front and rear alignment was off, so ya good thing i told them to align my car or my tires would look like that, b4 my alignment my car would pull to the left right from brand new?

$300US for camber bolts! And they're only for the rear? It should be a set for that stupid price!

    Hydrolikz,

US$300 does not get you rear bolts, its gets your rear arms if you read the post.

Guess that could appear a little expensive until you lower your car more than an inch, and when you get a 4 wheel computerised alignment done you discover that you cannot set the front alignment to how it should be cos you cannot adjust the rears.

lets just say that i have very much had to deal with this stuff. 08 Gts with the dunlop sp sport 5000s. They lasted no more than 7k no lie. Two days after i got it, took it back to get it realigned because it majorly drifted to the right. Well my dealership's alignment equipment was not "new" enough to align my car. Sent it to an outside company that specialized in alignments. Took three days to align my car. My tire looked ten times worse than yours mike. The out side of my passenger front was almost showing the metal. I took it to another dealership cuz the one i bought it from closed and they looked at the tires, affirmed there was in fact a problem, then told me that the only thing they could do was put in on the rack and tell me if it was in alignment. Apparently my warranty only allows one alignment in the first six months, then i am SOL. I asked the service manager to get down on the floor and look at the front tires just to see what they looked like. My drivers side front sat fine, but my passenger front leaned way in. Kinda like this: / Well the dealership told me that this little issue was caused by the tires, and those were not under warranty, so they would do nothing to help me. Opened up a claim with mitsubishi who sent district reps to look at my car. Another week with out a car(no rental by the way, under 21=no bueno) They also said my tires were causing the problem. This isnt an isolated event, i found on the internet in another mitsubushi forum that dunlop was given the wrong specs for the lancers so the tires break down much faster than normal. In the end mitsubishi pretty much said we'd have to sue them to get any money for the tires so we just bit the bullet and bought new tires. they are already wearing the same way, my car still pulls to the right, and mitsubishi will still not help. There are people out there who have gotten there tires replaced with pirellis for this exact reason. I on the other hand get looked at like i have about six arms when i go in and ask them about it. Good luck, i hope it goes better for you than it did for me.

the dunlop spsport 5000 are twitchy POS tires, my girlfriend 2008 civic DX is on a set of those and man that car does not feel stable at all at any speed over 80km/h
the car have a summersault like bahavior ,pretty scary if you ask me. Went to honda, they checked the car, alignement is perfectly fine. Guess what the problem is indeed the tires, thousand of tiny bubbles have formed between the tire metal carcass and the rubber sole make an aquaplanning like feeling appear while driving the car over a set speed.
Honda promptly replaced the tires with a set of 4 brand new tires of my choice (since I make all decisions that are car related). 2 days later, a special order later the civic is on a pretty set of 205/60r15 falken ziex ZE-912 at honda expense (212$ a tire iirc in the book so it must cost arout 110$ to the dealer).

pretty happy about those, a lil tiny bit more road noise but theyre so much more stable and better in every department.

btw my lancer after around 10 alignement still have the pulling to the left issue on winter tires or summer which none are pirelli (goodyear eagle F1 summer, gislaved winter tires)
