(sorry about poor grammar, I'm exchange student.) I really wanna get aftermarket intake, and i finally ended up with 2 brands - K&N and Injen. i know that k&n is SRI, and injen goes all the way down to where is behind of fog light. My concern about injen is that it might suck the water in severe weahter since the intake filter is pretty close to the ground. For k&n, I wonder if it doesn't suck cold air since it's near the engine. Also, I look up the injen website, and they were claiming that injen intakes give more and reliable power because of "MR technology"(which is one of features that they say no other companies have). I wanna hear some experiences that you guys had with those 2 brands. which one is better??
injen way better you actually feel the power, just get the hydro sheild for the injen and you are less likely to suck up water unless you drive through a flood
injen! :drunken: w/ hydroshield and besides I believe our car isn't fast enough to suck in large amounts of water
i have an injen intake and i drive like a manic through puddles and its still fine. i fear nothing now lol. maybe give the AEM a try. i like how the piping is straighter than injens.
oh will this change your mind than? i have another one with the aem one dyno day photoshoot AEM vs. INJEN :drunken: :drunken: :drunken:
imo, the K&N seems a bit overated. it seems like its just the RRM v2 except instead of using a metal heat shield, it has a big plastic one. i'd probly go w/ RRM over K&R if i was going for a SRI..
I have the K&N and it is awesome. I've had it since Nov. I drove my friends 09 GTS mt with the injen and it felt about the same as the K&N. Preferred the roar of the K&N more and I found it to be a bit more responsive. The heat shield on the K&N is metal not plastic as another member stated and it only cost me $230 us from my local parts store which isn't a fortune. And K&N is the #1 air filters in the world so I would think their cone filter would do more then the injen one. That's just my opinion though.
How did you get it for just $230?? What is the name of the store?? The cheapest price i could get from online was about $300. I'll definately go with k&n if I just have to pay $230.
how did u get it in canadian tire? i couldnt find it in mine... did u bring the part # and ask for it?
They can special order pretty much any part at canadian tire. I brought in the K&N # 69-6544TS and they called their rep and ordered it for me. Took 4 or 5 days to recieve it.
omg i went to my canadian tire and they gave me 492 for the intake, and i said someone got it for 286 at a canadian tire in vancouver and he said that's cuz they are from there =_= wtf 500$ for an intake... theyre crazy
I went to Canadian Tire and they quoted me $346 for the K&N intake. Whats up with the huge price differences? Talk about gouging...
